Dr. Moore is a Board Certified Dermatologist in private practice since 1990. She cares for teenagers and adults with skin conditions such as acne, moles, eczema and rashes, psoriasis, and skin cancer. In addition, she performs cosmetic procedures such as botulinum toxin and fillers.
She is currently affiliated with Loyola-Gottlieb Memorial Hospital in Melrose Park, Illinois, and Elmhurst Memorial Hospital in Elmhurst, Illinois.
Originally from Iowa, Dr. Moore graduated with a BS in Chemistry (cum laude) from Creighton University. She went on to receive her Medical Doctorate from The Creighton University School of Medicine; during medical school she was a member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
Following an internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Iowa, Dr. Moore completed a residency in Dermatology at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.
Dr. Moore was on the teaching staff in the Department of Dermatology at Rush from 1991 -2019. While there, she served as Attending Dermatologist at the Pigmented Lesion Clinic (a comprehensive interdepartmental clinic including medical and surgical oncology), where she evaluated moles and participated in photo documentation for patients at high risk for developing melanoma.
She has had several manuscripts published in highly respected dermatology journals.
Dr. Moore is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the Illinois and Chicago Dermatology Societies (CDS). She held the offices of President, Vice-President, and Secretary of CDS; she also served on many of the Society’s administrative and philanthropic committees.
In 2013 Dr. Moore was honored to receive the Practitioner of the Year Award from the Chicago Dermatology Society. Given annually by a group of 400 practicing dermatologists, this award recognizes the colleague who demonstrates superb clinical skills and contributes greatly to the field of dermatology as a whole.
Dr Moore values the long-term relationships she has enjoyed with her colleagues, staff and patients. She has been in practice with Dr. Kelly Abate since 2003 and Dr. Tracy Campbell since 2010.
When not working, Dr. Moore enjoys spending time with her husband (a police officer) and their crazy pugs. Her interests include visits to wine country (RED ZIN!) and vintage shopping.
