Dr. Julie Anne Moore

Dr. Moore is a Board Certified Dermatologist and in private practice since 1990.
Dr. Moore is originally from Iowa and attended Creighton University in Omaha Nebraska, graduating Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and went on to receive her Doctorate degree from Creighton University School of Medicine. During medical school she was honored to become a member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
She did her internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City and trained in Dermatology at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, under the guidance of Dr. Frederick Malkinson and Dr. Roger Pearson.
Dr. Moore has been on the teaching staff in the Department of Dermatology at Rush University Medical Center since 1991 and has had the privilege of working and learning alongside Dr. Michael Tharp, Dr. Marianne O’Donoghue, and Dr. James Ertle. She has had several manuscripts published in highly respected dermatology journals.
Dr. Moore is also on the teaching staff in the Department of Family Practice and the Department of Internal Medicine at West Suburban Hospital in Oak Park, Illinois. For 17 years, she was also the staff Dermatologist at the Pigmented Lesion Clinic, a comprehensive clinic in the Department of Oncology at Rush University Medical Center, where she evaluated moles and participated in photo documentation of moles for patients at high risk for developing melanoma.
Dr. Moore is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, as well as a member of the Illinois and Chicago Dermatology Societies. In the past she has held the office of President, Vice-President, and Secretary of the Chicago Dermatology Society, as well as member of the Plans and Policies Committee, Financial Committee, and Skin Cancer Screening Committee for the Chicago Dermatology Society.
In 2013 Dr. Moore was honored to receive the Practitioner of the Year Award from the Chicago Dermatology Society. This award is given each year by a group of 400 of her peers to the dermatologist who provides exemplary service as a practitioner of dermatology.
Dr. Moore is affiliated with Loyola-Gottlieb Memorial Hospital in Melrose Park, Illinois, Elmhurst Memorial Hospital in Elmhurst, Illinois, and Rush University Medical Center, in Chicago, Illinois. Each year she is involved with community skin cancer screenings as well as providing educational lectures on Dermatology to the medical community, as well as the public.
Dr. Moore practiced with Dr. Nancy Lichon in Lombard from 1994-2018.
Dr. Moore examines teenagers and adults with general dermatology problems, performs in office minor surgery of the skin, as well as injections of cosmetic botulinum toxin and fillers.
Dr. Moore in her free time spends time with her husband (a police officer) and their crazy pugs, Lucybelle, Newman, and Ollie. Her interests include visits to wine country (RED ZIN!) and vintage/antique shopping.
She feels blessed to have such a great staff, some that have been with her over 20 years, as well as her wonderful patients that she has been taking care of for these many years.
